Each MDF slat is wrapped on the front and both sides in a wood-grain finish and mounted on an acoustic felt backing made with 50% recycled PET. MDF slats with a wood-grain finish. The finish wraps the front and both sides of every slat, so you see the same grain from any angle, and color and grain stay consistent from panel to panel.
Acoustic felt backing. The slats are fixed to the felt from the back with small black U-shaped staples, so the gaps between slats show felt, not the wall. The felt contains 50% recycled PET.
Formaldehyde tested. The MDF components were tested by Intertek to the EPA TSCA Title VI formaldehyde emission standard and passed, with results from not detected to 0.040 ppm against a 0.11 ppm limit.

Quick box count for Long Panels: divide your wall width in inches by 11.02, round up, then divide by 2 for boxes. A 10 ft (120″) wide wall needs 11 panels, or 6 boxes. Stacking Short Panels on a tall wall adds a horizontal seam. For more layouts, see how many panels you need.

Leave an air gap behind the panels. In SGS lab testing, a 21 mm version of the panel installed with a 100 mm (about 4 in) air gap reached sound absorption Class B.
